Over de afdeling - About the department:

In addition to a solid proven background in back office administration, you have an eye for detail and you enjoy the challenge of ensuring that all our business information is complete, correct and consistent as well as having a strong drive to improve the business processes to simplify this task. Your defining characteristics are:
• You are comfortable with working in the middle of a process chain interacting with account managers, the delivery team and finance team as well as directly with customers and their administration departments;
• At a high level, you have an affinity for contracts and dealing with the implications of legal relationships and are comfortable in ensuring that both the account management team and customers stay within the correct framework to avoid problems further on down the road;
• You are comfortable with confronting customers with overdue payments and are creative in deploying the right balance of instruments to ensure timely payments, striking an effective balance between collections and customer retention;
• You see it as your personal mission to promptly resolve, or ensure that others resolve, all situations that if left unattended can eventually lead to loss of revenue;
• An affinity for technology and feeling challenged to interpreting and piecing together legacy administration is certainly an advantage;
• You have experience with and are comfortable with working in a small company environment.
• Able to develop best practice standards and drive implementation.

Our client is one of the larger players responsible for enabling and maintaining the internet connectivity in Europe with a strong tech DNA. They enable both small business and huge internet giants to implement their on-line strategy; and enable their consumers to watch tv, play games, social media and shop online. You will work in a small team of approximately 27 people serving around 600 national and international customers.

Over jouw rol - About your role:

You will be end-to-end responsible for managing all aspects of the administration required to ensure that deals won by the sales team can be converted into contracts, that these can be delivered by the operations team and billed by the finance team. You will work closely with customers to ensure that our client fulfill their requirements to be their vendor, that our client will maintain the correct and current contractual relationships as well as manage all processes required by their customers to ensure their invoices are accepted and paid. In addition, you will work closely with the finance team to enforce credit control and handle disputes.

• Proven hands-on experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar administration role
• High level of responsibility, autonomy and independence
• Track record of process and efficiency improvement
• A good command of both English and Dutch (spoken and written).
• General skills for working with computers and office-applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Macro scripting and or Access database skills would be appreciated.
