Nice series of articles about women and diversity in ICT in the magazine ITChannelPRO

Cause

IIn the conversation between Pauline van Alderwerelt van Rosenburgh - managing partner at LogicQ - and Eric Luteijn, the conversation turned to the role of women in ICT. At one point Eric - director of Luteijn Media and publisher of, among others, IT trade magazine ITChannelPRO and DatacenterWorld - asked Pauline if she would like to write an article on this subject.

That seemed like something to Pauline and it did not stop at one article. She says about this: "I thought it was a great opportunity to ask a number of representative female IT professionals to work with me. I can highlight various functions and give an impression to outsiders what it is like to work as a woman in IT."

Database

For the selection, Pauline can choose from a huge catalog of cards - she has been working in this industry for over 20 years in various roles including Sales & Marketing, but she has also worked as a community manager for CIOnet, not to mention the many events she organized as International Partner Manager for Axios Systems and eG Innovations.

"I took the idea with pleasure and further developed it in this series about #WomenindeIT and made a conscious decision to interview women who have earned their spurs in IT. They come from scientific journalism, operate at MT level and seniors in engineering (techies)".

A good sequel #WomeninIT

Whether there will be a sequel remains to be seen. Making such an article is labor intensive and unpaid. Because of all the hustle and bustle in the market and the paid assignments, you have to make good choices.

Pauline says about this: "I feel like I'm not quite finished with this fascinating series about #WomenindeIT. There are quite a few interesting ladies in IT on my 'wish' list. I also know these women personally. That's what makes this series for me also special, because you start to look at these ladies differently".

LogicQ also wants to thank Eric Luteijn for the opportunity to publish and to thank the ITChannelPRO team for the good cooperation. This way we have something in return for the useful trade journal with 'cutting edge' IT information that our LogicQ Associate likes to read.
