IJmuiden, July 24, 2022 - At the beginning of July, a delegation from the Municipality of Velsen came by lately to see if our office, where we had found peace for the past two years, would be suitable for housing by families from war-stricken Ukraine during the pandemic.
All available space in the municipality is being prepared for families from war zones. This also applies to the building on Heidestraat, because the Municipality of Velsen is formally the owner of the building.
Solidarity with Ukraine
After receiving the official request, we consulted with most LogicQ Associates and all agreed that we could generously cooperate with the request.
LogicQ and the Donate IT Foundation stand in solidarity with Ukraine as residents and know various IT professionals from this region affected by war. All LogicQ Associates see the great need to make room for refugee mothers with children.
Stichting Donate IT
A number of LogicQ Associates are also volunteers at the Donate IT Foundation and are involved in collecting used PCs from befriended IT relations for this group of refugees.
The first donations have been received and are being checked and prepared Despite the relocation and the extra crowds, we hope to distribute them to this group of children and their parents in the course of August with the Refugee Work Foundation.
The Foundation has also found accommodation in a former community center and will continue its activities there with the LogicQ Associates. We are looking for a number of new volunteers to process the offer of donations.
Hybride working
A LogicQ Associate works at her client's home or anywhere else in the world. In recent years, the need for a head office in the classical way has changed due to the pandemic in particular.
A lot is already being done via video conferencing, chat functions and other forms of hybrid working. That has undeniably become more important - for us - and certainly for our customers.
Practice what you preach!
We are a partner of and we have knowledge of the systems of Google, Microsoft, Jitsi, Odoo and many other modern IT solutions in this field. As an IT consultancy, we do not only realize this for our clients - but we also set up our own organization with this. It requires a little more planning and IT, but the locations can be just as beautiful as our old location on Heidestraat. The office garden was a favorite place of many of our relations and consultants.
With great pleasure we will remember these special two years that we were allowed to spend here.
With love we return our refurbished blooming garden to people who need it much more than we do.
